It is amazing to me the progress the house makes in such a short time given the majority of it is done by one person after his full time job. He is such a hard worker. This is the romp/rec room The ceiling is really blue I am still deciding some days I love it some days I am not sure. For now it is blue.
Here is the castle all painted up I need to do touch ups and I may do a top coat but I am really happy with it so for, I have just a little more painting in this room and touch ups and it will be done.
The shelving going in the storage room.
A built in above the reading niche
The tile is in downstairs and the cupboards
The trim is almost done downstairs, we ran into a little snafu with the base as in there was none in the entire town all the suppliers were back ordered, so crazy So we are patiently waiting it to arrive. The top room is a detail in Doug and I's room the bottom is a wall in James room
Cabinets and floor are in the laundry/ craft room I am super excited about this area!
My Hard worker! Laying tile upstairs.
More of my craft room
The work to still be done, It can be overwhelming they load all the materials to go in the house ie finishes in the garage and it seems massive, but bit by bit we widdle it away and that I love seeing the piles disappear.
The outside of the house it is all sided and ready to paint
Doug and our neighbor did trenches today to take pipe to and from the pool house and each house that is associated with it The pool is owned by four homes together in an association. Below the pool phase two
and the last picture is the pool house the foundation is ready to go in.

Colorado
My Mom and I took the kids for a quick trip to Colorado, We had so much fun!!! My kidddos travel best first thing in the morning I am talking like 4am so we headed out at about 5 we would have been out sooner but Dryn had puked in her sleep during the night so we had to do some last minute cleaning and bathing. She was well entertained with her sunglasses and toys on the way there, She was not all that thrilled about coming home from Colorado though, She needs a new set of entertainment a there bag and a home bag (note to self) We always travel with a puke bucket, although dryn has never been the one to need it before, Good thing she didn't actually need it to puke in she had a grand time singing in it though.
We left and drove straight to Denver where we located the Ikea and the Lego store, with the bonus of a cheesecake factory. The kids had worked hard on a recycling unit and done a recycling project that earned them both some good money they had paid their tithing and put their savings aside and were waiting to spend the rest, The lego store was a perfect time for that. Addy was so pleased with herself paying for her kit and with her she had a coupon and got a free kit so she was very impressed with how much she got for how little she paid it was a good lesson. James just plopped his money down and was careful that he got the change and no one else. Night and day difference these two. SO FUN!!! The mall we were in had a number of play area's throughout instead of just one area with everything in it the kids loved playing on the animals and riding the saddles. Mom and I were on a hunt for shoes for Audryn as we managed to leave all of hers at home so the kids got to check out a number of exhibits as we searched the mall. They were pretty tired by the time we got to Ikea so it was short but I got what I was looking for to put in the house. Worked good, we had our super yummy dinner and drove back to wellington where we were staying.
The next day we got to hang out with the cousins which is why we made the trip My oldest nephew was in a play, Happens to be my kids favorite play, Peter Pan so we swam in the morning, played on the farm, and went to the Show. The kids had such a great time with their cousins. It was a fun day, We were all very happy to be there. Audryn even got to go to her first play, she made it about an hour and a half before she got tired and needed to move, I was thoroughly impressed she made it that long. Addy Loved the play and keeps asking for the tape so we can watch it again...

Here and there
I am not doing great at keeping my blog up to date, so randoms are slewed together to highlight the past month or two. Audryn is such a ham, she has so much personality she rode through the craft store like this the entire time and just loved the attention she got, Me not so much LOL.
I am not sure if this picture was for the Ballet or for The Play the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Addy wears the same shirt every time we go to the theater so it is hard to say. They loved both though. I am happy to see them develop in their understanding of the theater, They are learning the culture as well as gaining a love for the Theater. We were at one of the shows in the kids series that comes to town which are during the day, there were a number of kids there as the school field trips to the shows and James noted to me that many of the kids were not using theater appropriate voices and were disrupting the show. I was glad he caught that, since then he has been much better at not talking in the theater.
Addy and I often do experiments for school James wanted to do one that was just his so ,James and I tried an experiment with flowers in case you were wondering only the green and blue vases died the flowers green and blue???
Sick day, this is what a sick day the requires little ones to not move much looks like at our house, you can tell who is not feeling well and who is managing to hold their own.
BRRR! So the weather man here is not always right, The weather was suppose to be in the 60's so I told the kids we could go to the park, well it wasn't the big kids didn't mind they headed out and played but Since Audryn seems to be sick ALOT lately I kept her in the car and we played in the front, She thought that was just as great as the park.
Kids Series, The theater here brings in a number of shows for younger audiences and shows them during the school day which is really nice, we got to see Flat Stanley, Junie B Jones, an Irish Performance that was a variety of Irish songs, and ImaginOcean it seems like I am forgetting one, anyways I always get four tickets and do a kid-swap with friends Audryn for one of the older kids that can go to the show with us and enjoy it, It really worked out well this year, We enjoyed getting to have Riley, Asher, and Grant join us on our outings. We do love the Theater.
I have a very similar picture of Addy swiffering floors for me at about the same age. I love my girls they are just so dang fun!
Audryn was panicking every time I put her down in the bark at the park, or the grass, or really anytime there was a surface of texture besides hardwood or carpet, So I did what any good mom does I set her down in the middle of the park full of bark and walked ten feet away close enough I could watch her far enough away she had to deal with the textures on her own, Worked like a charm she is now texture friendly for the most part we still have to work on not eating new textures, but other then that the panic and fear are gone, thank goodness almost every park in our area has this bark stuff she won't survive our park adventures without overcoming it. Look at that smile though, I think we are good now. And below Corn, so fun to swim in....
Happy Easter!!!
I am not sure if the kids are more excited for it to be Easter weekend or Conference weekend, They are super excited for both. I found adorable yellow dresses for the girls and was thinking I would for sure find a Yellow suit for James but I never did, all the same he looks ready for spring. And spring has come! We are all happy to say goodbye to this winter, The weather has not been bad but we have had a terrible season with being sick we have had pneumonia, flu, a GI bug, rsv, numerous ear infections and colds, to name a few, however we have had it way easier then a number of our friends, so I guess we have to be thankful it wasn't worse, it has just been a hard year gunk wise we so hope with the season change we are able to say goodbye to the crud too! Audryn is just two days out of surgery in the above and doing so good. Her eyes are doing so much better now and she is just as cute as could be. What a Ham!
James is hoping that Easter morning will bring him a dirt bike. lol it will not
When I asked Addy what she hoped Easter morning would bring she said for my family to be together, That one we will be accommodating to.
Happy Easter from our cute crew to yours! And Happy Conference Weekend! Oh the fun this weekend will bring.
It melts my heart to see our cute kids all together.
