Florida 2014 Part 2

Oh goodness we had so much fun everyday had adventures and what might have been my favorite part was for the first time in over three years we did no therapy! We usually take stuff with us, but I just planned on swimming everyday to get the sensory input we needed and I made shift a few eye exercises and we did tongue pushing but that is nothing compared to our normal day and we didn't go and see a therapist or specialist for over 2 weeks, it was so nice, I think we all needed the break, and we were able to adjust back just fine, once we got our feet on the ground that is. There were also lots of little opportunities along the way to fill gaps of need, like the above dino dig, we were there close to an hour.
We ventured out and stayed at a new resort this time, We love the one we usually stay at but there are so many in Florida to choose from we thought we would check a new one out. The liki tiki did not disappoint, the check in staff was less then impressive, but we loved everything else and it had it's own water park on top of just regular pools so many of the days we just walked over to the water park and played. Then came back got dressed and started our day

The resort also had a recreation team and things to do that were all free like we took the family bike for a spin or 4 the kids really liked biking, we did mini golf a couple of times, We did not do the paddle boats only because we just never timed it right, Addy was sad about that. We loved the family fish fry and dancing and just hanging out at the resort, there was a pool about 30 feet from our front porch so we could not have been happier
We also ventured to Legoland, something new for us, it was surprisingly well kept, not so busy that we couldn't just walk on to rides or just have a five minute wait or so, and they had so much to see and do, we couldn't get it all in, in just one day which was really a surprise.

Everything there was AWESOME, and now I will have that song in my head all day, DANG IT, we just barely watched the lego movie, it was a little more adult humor then I prefer for my little ones but that is what I get for not previewing like I normally do. They are so into lego's though it was only a matter of time before they broke me.
James was hilarious on this car, they let 6 riders on at a time you are grouped in line based on your age so he was with other 3 and 4 year olds and he was lapping them literally, some didn't even make one loop, he got off and he said.... Mom did I win the race? Oh boy he did very well driving his own car, maneuvering around road blocks and other less experienced drivers... LOL
We ended the day at the water park there, which was so cleaver they had huge lego's floating in the lazy river and the wave pool that you could make stuff out of while you swam, the whole park was quite clever I was very impressed with all the things you can build out of lego's and all their displays, the kids favorite part by far was Captain black brick and the pirate show what a surprise, it was a fun outing if we lived in Florida we would so have a season pass my only complaint as a non resident was the hours were very short kind of lame to close at 5:00 in the summer. My favorite quote of the week was addy though she said, eyelashes fall out right mom, yes, I don't have any loose right now, but when I do, do I save them for an eyelash fairy or how does that work? Yes how does that work, well.....Oh such funny kids
