Preschool Graduation

Addy Graduated from Preschool, she was so excited to graduate but not so excited that she doesn't get to go back next year. James will be attending there next year and she will be moving on to kindergarten. We went to the Lutheran Good Shepherd Preschool which for the most part we loved, We do have different beliefs then the Lutheran church so we had to be sure to stay on top of that but it was such a great atmosphere and I love Jan and her staff, they are so good with the kids, even those like addy that struggle a bit. Addy learned so much and really had a great year.

Above is Part of her class, she has four good friends in the class that we do stuff with out side of school, the girl in the polka dot dress is katy, the girl in the orange shirt is Addy's  best friend Avery and the girl squished next to katy is Kinsley and the girl on the end in the pink dress far left is Marleigh, Addy has so much fun with those girls. I hope we continue to see them even after summer.
Addy's favorite person at preschool was liz though, Liz was AWESOME Addy would always say.
Daddy, Myself, Grandma and James made it for the big day to see her graduate and put on her end of year show, it was so good to see all the progress she has made and how much she has learned, some day's it is hard to not see that progress, some day's it is hard to put in the work it takes for her to make progress, and other days like graduation are perfect and make it all worth it, you may think I am sappy over preschool graduation but to look at ones child who once could not speak to then see her with her peers fully mainstreamed this mom can't help but be grateful and know that we have been so blessed.

A Boy

My friend Erin just had her first little boy, She has two adorable girls that we love, but this is their first boy, so she needed a shower, or well another friend and I wanted to throw her a shower is probably more accurate, babies are such pleasant people they should all be showered.... A little party to welcome them to the world, it was so fun and I say that because I wasn't the one having the shower I got to do the fun stuff, so we did a sports theme, we narrowed it to a few sports, but I just decorated with whatever I could come up with, I was decorating someone else's home so it was a little hard to decide what I needed and didn't need. I designed the invites for her which were along the same lines you see above with the blue chevron, which my friend is really into.  They turned out cute, I would post them but I am not good at blurring out the info I don't want accessible to the world so you will have imagine them being adorable
Erin and I are two peas in a pod, although most would not guess we would even be friends, we run in very different circles and have very different friends, but we could not think more alike if we tried, it is sometimes creepy. I love her and I am very thankful to have a friend like her, I would be so lost without her. She keeps me grounded and thankfully our daughters are best friends so we get to spend a lot of time together, sometimes our play dates run very long, and it is hard for us to say goodbye, not so much the kids, We should all have friends like that, right? Although my kids were so sad on vacation without her daughter they were coming up with ways that she could be with our family always, James' idea (totally came up with on his own and is sticking with it even now weeks later) was that he would marry her so she could be with us forever, so sweet, although he is already promised to another, per a parental arrangement, but if he is going to choose someone not of our choosing HAHAHA I would love for it to be Addy's best friend Avery.
All set up the diaper cake and baseballs to the sides
The food, Addy and James are Party people they could not understand how it could possibly be that I would throw a party and not invite them.
I made the food to look like different sports balls, so the cheese cake bites were basketballs and baseballs, I dipped the strawberries above, and I did the yummy brownie bites a recipe I got from my sister in law I just had them with blue frosting though, it all came together very nicely, my friends home that was nice enough to host it since I was mid moving and had boxes all over was/is beautiful, and we had another friend that did the games which were a blast. I can't wait for the next shower I am keeping my fingers crossed my friend with all little boys is going to have a girl 7 weeks and we will know!!!! (My Mom was a huge help with getting the decor and food finished, it was fun to have her come over and help)

Hello July!

May and June where did you go? With all the traveling, moving and start of summer we have just cruised right on by past two whole months, we did have a lot of fun in those two months and crammed in way more then well lets be honest even I thought we could get it, and we loved every minute of it, except Doug getting really sick on our vacation we could have done without that for sure, but the rest of it was great, the kids have been such troopers with trips and moving and getting use to sharing a room, so much to take in and they are doing great, I am going to back track and hopefully be caught back up to present soon, LOL I know I will miss a load of stuff but hopefully I will catch the backbone of it, for journalings sake

So the beginning of May we put our house under contract to sell, we had it on the market for a little over 4 weeks which was 4 weeks of showing the house almost daily if not 2 or 3 times a day, it was very hard to keep the house show ready everyday contrary to popular belief we do not live our lives that way, don't get me wrong we are clean but not show ready clean everyday, anyways, the day after the inspector came to do the house inspection we got this MONSTER hail storm, it was crazy, We really thought we were going to lose windows, it was very concerning to the kiddos, until it was over then they loved collecting the hail, we took pictures to expedite the insurance claim we knew we would need to file this is the storm in action
After, piles of hail kind of looks like snow cover
I had just thrown a baby shower for a friend more to come on that, and had a golf ball handy, the hail was comparable in size

We did not lose windows, but our roof and rain gutters as well as a few personal items were totaled by the insurance adjuster, Luckily I know a really great builder that knows a great roofer and we were able to get our roof replaced quickly, many people here are still on a six month wait list, which would have messed up the sale of our home, which has already happened. Now every time someone says I think it may storm the kids say is it going to hail, We need to get inside away from the windows, yeah it was a little traumatic I would say.
