Apraxia Walk

It's that time of year, we did the Apraxia walk again this year, which we were thoroughly impressed with. The gal that organized it this year was definitely on top of things, and we were locally able to raise over 8000.00 dollars for kids who struggle with apraxia which all goes to kids in our community who need help with services or devices as a lot of kids are non-verbal for a long time due to the apraxia  We feel so blessed that we were able to help our little one get the help she needed and that there were funds available via us or others that made it possible for here to receive services as she needed them. She still has quite a battle ahead of her, but she has conquered so much, the laps we make while walking almost feel like victory laps for her, mainly because we are in the trenches with her and know how hard it really is for her. Which we really only recognize verbally once a year when we do the walk, The kids with Apraxia get medals, which they totally deserve, honestly I don't know where she finds the strength to fight it and push through everyday, but she does and while it is a two steps forward one step backward kind of deal, I am thankful for her and her sweet spirit, her undying patience with me and her persistence and dedication to being the best version of her she can be. And she is, Just wonderful, we love her so much and are so thankful for all she adds to our family and our lives.

 Grandma came and walked with us, it was at the baseball park this year which was fun, they had all kinds of games and fun things for the kids to do, as well as raffles and a firetruck came, the firemen gave a little spill on the safety and let the kids go all over the truck, they loved that.

 James decided he wanted his face painted but he hated it as soon as it was done, he cried all the way home. He also was concerned that he didn't get a medal, but before he could even wine about it Addy walked up to him and said, I got a new medal, you can have my other medal (the one from last year) Seriously SWEET
